Highland Perthshire Ukulele Club (HPUC)
The club is based in Aberfeldy and welcomes ukulele enthusiasts of all abilities from across the surrounding Highland area.
We have a two branches:
Beginners And Intermediate Branch
Firstly to encourage beginners and total beginners to come and try out the ukulele in a friendly and supportive environment. Even if you’ve never played a musical instrument before, can’t read music or think you are tone deaf such is the power of the Uke that we can have you up and running playing your first tune in 6 minutes!! So don’t hesitate fullfill your dream and start making music now! Even if you don’t have a ukulele we can lend you one to get you started.
We meet on Sundays 1530 - 1700 at Aberfeldy Bowling Club (link to their website). But NOT every Sunday so please check it’s on before coming along.
Secondly, while we are helping beginners we try to provide more elaborate parts for intermediate (and advanced) players to practice their skills on. For example different Strumming patterns, alternative and moveable chords, finger picking and TAB. This means that anyone who can’t come along to our experienced players branch on a Monday can come along on a Sunday.
Fee : £7 per session.
Intermediate and Advanced Branch
We meet on Mondays 1600 - 1800 at Aberfeldy Bowling Club (www.aberfeldybowlingclub.co.uk ).
